The Expo Promenade (also known as Golden Bauhinia Square) on Wanchai waterfront marks the most significant occasion in Hong Kong’s history. The “Forever Blooming Bauhinia” Sculpture (Golden Bauhinia) is a gift from the People’s Republic of China to mark the return of the territory to the Motherland in June 1997. Catch the official daily flag-raising at the Golden Bauhinia Square. Daily (except first day of each month) 7:50am - 8:03am.

Horseracing is Hong Kong’s favourite sport. From September to June/July, on every Wednesday evening and weekend you can view ‘the sport of Kings’ at one of the world’s most famous and richest racetracks.
